PRSA Colorado Leaders Dedicated to Doing What’s Right for our Profession and our Members
As leaders, advocates and members of the PRSA Colorado Chapter, we want to express our support of the PRSA National Board and staff. Collectively, we reaffirm our belief in the PRSA vision and our ongoing commitment to upholding the Society’s bylaws and code of ethics.
We are so appreciative and proud of all that our National leadership accomplished last year on behalf of our profession. From strengthening advocacy around our code of ethics and placing a renewed focus on improved governance to investing in enhanced technology and expanding professional development opportunities, PRSA made a number of important leaps forward in 2017.
We continue to see key advancements this year, especially as our leadership works through the “Framework of the Future” strategic plan. We applaud the continued emphasis on the importance of adhering to our code of ethics as well as the Society’s focus on diversity and inclusion across our organization. We welcome the ever-growing number of networking and professional development opportunities designed to ensure PRSA remains on the leading edge of providing the knowledge and skills that our members want and need. We believe that our staff and volunteer leadership are unwavering in their commitment to serve the profession and the professional at a high level.
It is important to note that the Colorado Chapter has been a direct beneficiary of this support and especially that of Immediate Past Chair Jane Dvorak, APR, Fellow PRSA; National Chair Tony D'Angelo, APR, Fellow PRSA and PRSA CEO Joe Truncale, Ph.D., CAE. Without the backing of these professionals, our Chapter could not have hosted the successful Western District Conference this past spring. Jane, in particular, has been a tireless volunteer, leader and all-around cheerleader for this Chapter throughout the years and we are the better for her involvement.
As we enter the 2018 Assembly, we will ensure our delegates are educated about all of the issues and bylaw amendment proposals that will be discussed. But our job will not end there. We also are committed to informing our members about those proposals and seeking feedback to inform how our delegates will vote on our membership’s behalf.
We love this organization. We are all dedicated to doing what is right for our profession and our members so that PRSA will continue its 70-year legacy of helping public relations professionals be smarter, better prepared and more connected through all stages of their careers.
