We’re kicking off the process of electing our Chapter’s leadership team for 2024. Our Nominating Committee will lead the effort, collecting nominations through Friday, Oct. 27, 2023. This is an opportunity to make an impact on your profession, meet new colleagues, learn from others, and have fun!  We have opportunities to match every interest, experience level, and time commitment. Ready to be a game-changer and help shape Colorado’s PR landscape? By joining our Board you will be connecting with professionals across one of the largest and most respected PRSA Chapters in the country, ensuring every event and program we deliver is relevant, engaging, and hits the mark. 

The nomination process kicks off every fall and we encourage you to take advantage of one of the best professional development opportunities PRSA Colorado offers by self-nominating a chapter member you think will do a great job as part of the 2024 PRSA Colorado Board of Directors. Our  Nominating Committee will also conduct outreach to board prospects. REMINDER: All nominees, whether self-nominated or otherwise, must be PRSA national and chapter members in good standing. 

The 2024 Board positions** open for nominations are:

• President-Elect (one open position – will serve a three-year term through 2026)
• Treasurer (one open position – will serve a two-year term through 2025)
• Delegates (two open positions – will serve a three-year term through 2026)
• Director (three open positions – will serve a two-year term through 2025)

Please complete and return the nomination form with a minimum of two signatures from current Chapter members. You can submit the completed form online, via mail, by email, or by faxing the completed form to the PRSA Colorado office. Signatures can be submitted through the PDF form or via multiple forms (all signatures don’t need to appear on the same form). The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 27, 2023.  

Candidates will be announced by Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023.  The Nomination Committee will prepare a slate of candidates (minimum of one, maximum of three) for all available positions, based upon the nominations received. Voting will be open to all members Nov. 1 through 17.  The winners will be conferred at the Annual Chapter Meeting, tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 12. The Board will be officially announced the next day.

Committee Leadership

If the Board isn’t for you, but you have a specific area of interest, leading one of our committees might be your calling. Dive into areas like student engagement, membership drives, diversity, or programming. Explore the committees and find where your expertise can shine the brightest. We currently have open Chair positions for the following committees: PR Paid Forward, Communications, Gold Picks, and DEI.

• • DEI: Advocate for a diverse and inclusive PR community. Help in sourcing speakers, engaging volunteers and ensuring our chapter is welcoming and inclusive.
  • Pay it Forward: This pro bono program is an opportunity for PRSA members to partner and lend expertise to support the local community. To date, almost 100 nonprofits have benefited from this program.
  • Gold Pick Awards: Celebrate brilliance with our annual Colorado PR Honors. Recognize and applaud top-tier talent from our region.
  • Communications: Be the voice that keeps our members tuned in and engaged. Got writing or social media prowess? We need you!
  • Programming/Social Events: Tap into the now and what’s next in PR. Organize events that resonate, educate, and inspire.
