New Year Clean-Up: Update your contact info with PRSA

As we begin a fresh New Year, this is a great time to clean up your inbox, spruce up your LinkedIn profile summary and subscribe/unsubscribe from e-newsletters that benefit your career. As I’m sure you are aware, the PRSA Colorado e-newsletter is a quick, easy read on what’s happening in our chapter, so I recommend keeping that subscription!

January is also a great time to take a few minutes and make sure your information is accurate with both PRSA local and national offices. Here are five helpful hints to make the most of your membership benefits.

    1.        If you need to make any changes to your profile on PRSA National, just login to MyPRSA at prsa.org. The MyPRSA homepage is a wealth of recent articles. If you need to update any contact information, choose My Profile.
    2.       Do you feel like you get too many emails from PRSA National Office? If so, you have the ability to update your email preferences to streamline those communications under MyPRSA profile/Communication Preferences.
    3.       Another great tool on MyPRSA is called My Benefits on the right toolbar. This section includes an OnDemand Webinar Library, which is a valuable benefit that is included with your membership.
    4.       Check out My Benefits/Member Benefits for details on industry/role interest groups. Interest Sections are a great way to connect beyond the Denver Metro and learn from your peers.
    5.       If you are not receiving local event invitations, be sure we have the correct email address on file. Visit prsacolorado.org and choose Manage Profile in the top right corner. This will also allow you to register for PRSA Colorado events.

To reiterate, you will need to update your information on BOTH prsa.org and prsacolorado.org. The two are not linked.

Why not make a New Year’s Resolution to make the most of your membership benefits! If you have questions, contact Megan Ryan, membership chair at [email protected].
