    PRSA Colorado’s Shadow Week

    One week, many possibilities

Share your valuable professional experience with a new generation of communicators by participating in PRSA Colorado’s Shadow Week.

Shadow Week 2026 is an opportunity for college/university students to connect one-on-one virtually or in person with PR and communications professionals during the week of March 9-13.

As a communications professional, you know your work is full of complexities that require skill and experience to navigate. Shadow Week is your opportunity to prepare the next generation for the challenges ahead. PRSA Colorado is looking for communications professionals from all industries to sign up as hosts.

With this year’s flexible format, we encourage hosts to connect with their students for an hour-long virtual meeting and/or coordinate an in-person experience that is convenient for you and your student. If you and/or your student are interested in attending the optional in-person event, we encourage you to schedule an in-person meeting with your student that day.

Looking for things to do with your Shadow Week student? Consider these ideas:

    • Participate in a planning session or meeting

    • Attending a client event or media interview

    • Have your student help brainstorm a campaign or program; help prep for an event or project

    • Write or edit a written piece or social media post

    • Office tour and meeting your team

    • Review their resume and offer suggestions

    • Go to lunch together

Please register by Feb. 20 to be paired with a local PRSSA student. You will receive your student's contact information prior to the week of March 9 to allow you to coordinate a time convenient for both of you to connect either virtually, in person, or both - flexible!

Thank you for being part of this great PRSA Colorado tradition!
